INGREDIENTS

– 2 cup of masoor dal
– 6 cups of water
– 4 green chilies into half
– 1 tomato chopped (half for bagaar)
– 1 onion sliced (half for bagaar)
– 2 garlics in thin slices (for bagaar )
– coriander for garnish
– 1 tsp tumeric
– 1 red chili powder
– 1 tblsp red chili flakes
– salt to taste
-curry leaves (5-7)
– 2-4 tablespoon oil fot bagaar

METHOD

– In a dish boil water, meanwhile wash dal till its washed well.  Add the dal into the boiling water let it come simmer then mash the daal but not fully.

–  Add half onions, green chili, and all the spices.

– Let it cook for 2 mins add in the half tomatoes. Then, add salt.

– Meanwhile in a pan heat oil on high heat add in garlic, chili’s and onions mix well. Then, add in the curry leaves and tomatoes.


- Add in a pinch of tumeric and red chili powder.


- Once the tomatoes are half cooked close the fire and add it with the dal. Mix well.

– Let it cook for 2  mins then garnish with coriander and serve
